Dear reader,
First of all, it’s hard for me not to talk with friends too! Want to know my method?
Every day I tell myself that today I won’t talk for a certain number of minutes, and every day I add a few more minutes. That way, little by little, I get used to not talking.
Wishing you lots of luck! I hope it helps.

You can ask your teacher to move you to sit by yourself, or next to someone you don’t usually chat with. Good luck!

My mom is a teacher. Sometimes she comes home really sad because kids talked during class and didn’t listen to her. It takes away her motivation, and she worries she won’t get through the material properly. I think every time you want to talk, think about the teacher – how hard it is for her to teach while you’re talking, and how it affects her day. I believe it will make you want to talk less. I’m glad you asked, because it shows that some kids don’t do it to be mean and really try to stop.

You can write yourself reminders on a piece of paper of what you want to tell your friend, so you won’t forget it before recess.

Dear reader! It really is hard not to talk during lessons, but I think you should listen in class or take notes on what the teacher says. That way you get two good things: you don’t talk in class and upset the teacher, and you do well in school. Good luck!
